Planned Giving
Including our sanctuary in your will or estate plan is a wonderful way to ensure the continued care and support of our horses for years to come. By making a planned gift, you can leave a lasting legacy that reflects your commitment to animal welfare and our mission.
What is Planned Giving?
Planned giving, also known as gift planning or legacy giving, is a donor’s intention to contribute a major gift to an organization beyond their lifetime. Unlike annual gifts, which are made for immediate use, planned gifts are designed for the future. Donors arrange these gifts in the present, but they are distributed at a later date. Planned giving can be part of your financial or estate plans.
This means that planned giving is not limited by your current wealth. While regular donations are based on what a donor can contribute now, planned giving allows for larger contributions that wouldn’t be possible through regular income alone. These gifts often take the form of life insurance, equity, or real estate holdings, and can significantly exceed the value of regular, smaller donations.
